The purpose of this activity is to develop free schooling and educational assistance projects in poor communities in an effort to help underprivileged orphans and other needy individuals.
This project encompasses many activities and components, including Libraries, Sports Centers, Music Projects, After-school Projects, and Daycare Services Aid. The amount of time and resources that will be devoted to this project is approximately 20%. The initiation date for Institutional Development is March 2008.

The Samaritan Center is an interfaith effort of community members who are committed to serving the hungry and those in need. The overriding goal is to create a solid foundation for short-term benefit, while providing a platform to promote dignity and self-sufficiency in the long term.
The main targets are underprivileged orphans and other needy individuals, and the Samaritan Center helps them by providing food, clean water, and clothing in depressed areas or countries. Supporting projects include Food and Water Supply Services and Cloth for the Needy. Time and resources dedicated to this project are estimated to be 20%. Planned initiation of the activity is March 2008.
The primary focus of this activity is to improve the lives of young children and families by working directly with schools, caregivers, health agencies, and community groups. While some of our work will potentially involve direct
volunteer service to children, we will also engage and collaborate with parents,
caregivers, education officials, and health professionals to serve and support young children and families.
Fundamentally, we believe that all children have the capacity and motivation to learn, and that they deserve equal access to opportunities that improve learning, including early care and health services.
Related projects include Early Childhood Education and Family Health. The
approximate time and resources that will be allocated to this activity is 15%. It will be initiated in January 2009.
This project is specifically designed to evaluate and implement strategies that reduce and prevent alcohol, tobacco, and other drug use; HIV infection; and injuries / violence. The primary mission is to foster healthy lifestyles and create vibrant, safe environments where people can live, learn, and work.
The related projects associated with this activity are assisting Community Health, School Health, and Mental Health. The approximate amount of time and resources dedicated to this project is 10%. Planned initiation date for the activity is January 2011.
The primary focus of this project is to provide adult education and literacy services in order to assist adults in becoming literate and obtaining the knowledge / skills necessary for employment and self-sufficiency. In addition, the project will assist adults who are parents in obtaining the skills necessary to become full partners in the educational development of their children. Lastly, this project will assist adults in the completion of a secondary school education.
Associated projects include Community Technology, Informal Education, Online Communities, and Adult Education (GED). The approximate resources and time dedicated to this project are 15%. The planned initiation of this project is January 2010.
The purpose of this project is to build on the infrastructure and support available in school settings. It focuses on youth who are most at risk of educational failure, dropping out of school, or involvement in criminal or delinquent activities. We’ll provide strong positive role models, and help mentor these children. This project will commence in rural areas, high-crime / high-violence areas, or troubled home environments. The approximate time and resources which will be devoted to this project is 10%. The initiation date is January 2010.
As the fuel that drives all of our efforts, fundraising is an ongoing effort, and encompasses mail, internet, and other solicitation for help. Fundraising totals 10% of our efforts.
